For Pen & Ink with
Oil Rouging
I always suggest FREDRIX ,
MEDIUM GRADE, with a red label
canvas panels, shown below.
Authentic acid free acrylic
titanium primed artist canvas
mounted on heavy board.
Popular for student projects
because of moderate cost and
portability. Suitable for oil or
acrylic painting. All panels are
completely turned and glued to
prevent fraying and separation.
All you do is pop it into a frame...
that simple!!!

Basically, any Fredrix Medium
Grade panel, stretched canvas,
rolled canvas and even canvas
pads are reliable, easy to ink and
rouge on and are easy on your
brushes.
Normally I would never suggest
purchasing a portrait smooth
texture canvas, however, at
Hobby Lobby there is a stretched
canvas that is acceptable. The
name is Master’s Touch Gallery
Collection, Medium Texture
Cotton Duck, Extra Smooth
Texture (gold label).

2012 Class Schedule
| WEEKLY COLOR PENCIL CLASSES: SOUTH LAKE ART LEAGUE (located at 776 W Montrose Street in historic downtown Clermont, Florida 34711). In addition to scheduled workshops below, I will be at the gallery every Friday between 10:00-12:00. If you are interested in attending weekly color pencil classes Pre-Registration is required. | Project can be made with or without snow. By the way, this is one of my most favorite projects ever. It is so stunning with the snow and the glow behind the tree's and barn, it is hard to describe until the project is completed. |

A somewhat of a trend has
been started by some of
students at OTOTW the last
time they created "The
Courtship" on a plate. They
thought it would be nice if they
created some of their art on
plates "a kind of collection of
their own artwork".

| CLASS CANCELLED - I have Jury Duty on Monday the 19th, if I get selected then I would not be available to teach. This project has been re-scheduled to April 18. |

| HOBBY LOBBY in Ocala I would like to make everyone aware that since the remodelling of the store, there has not been a location suitable for me to display my artwork for upcoming classes. At the present time there are several of us displaying our work in a very tiny area near the classroom (rear right corner of the store). I have places my Pen & Ink with Oils project near the rest-rooms for more exposure. However, I decided to cancel all color pencil classes for now. |
